    Running is one of the most fundamental forms of exercise.  If you are serious about running and want to do it for your entire life, you need to safe-guard your body with an optimized strength training routine.  Furthermore, adding strength training into your program will allow you to run faster, for longer distances, and recover more quickly. 

    There is a certain frequency per week that works well for runners to strength train.  

    There are certain sets/reps ranges that work well for runners to gain strength. 

    There are certain exercises that work the best for the average runner to perform their best.
