Authentic: Conversations with Stock & Hicksy

"The GOAT at UVA Lacrosse": Connor Shellenberger , New York Atlas

Stock and Hicksy have interviewed many guests who are stellar in their fields, but they can rarely say they have interviewed the GOAT (Greatest of All Time). But, Connor Shellenberger certainly qualifies.

Connor is a four-time All-American at UVA Lacrosse. He holds many records and led them to the national lacrosse championship in 2021. And while he has set the standard in the sport, he doesn't take credit for his success. "It started with my parents," he says modestly. "Their work ethic inspired me to go all in for lacrosse."

The Charlottesville, VA. native spent his junior year at The Bullis School, in Potomac, MD. "I needed the experience." Then graduated from St. Anne's Belfield (STAB). However, the critical decision he made during his first year at UVA changed his life for the better.

Connor was selected second overall by the New York Atlas in the 2024 PLL College Draft and has loved being a professional. Yet, it's the lacrosse clinics that he holds for kids during the off-season that bring him the most fulfillment.

He also stuns Stock and Hicksy when he explains why he has accomplished so much in his lacrosse career. He is known to be unselfish, and his answer proves it.

Throughout the conversation, Connor's humility and team-first mentality shine through, offering listeners valuable insights into the mindset of a true champion.

Connor Shellenberger lives in the Charlottesville, VA area.
