Man with No Memory | The Accident

Man with No Memory | The Accident

Even as recently as the early 1950s, we didn’t understand that there were different types of memory, or how the brain processed and stored memories. Then, in 1953, a radical surgery by a reckless doctor gave us tremendous insights into how human memory works. Those scientific gains came at a terrible cost, however. The surgery left the patient, Henry Molaison, a profound amnesiac -- completely incapable of forming new memories. This is his story.

Wonderfully told stories

Really enjoy the simplicity but effectiveness that SBJ tells his stories. The cut aways to conversations provides a realness to the history that other history podcasts could really learn from.

Personal favorite: The Kellogg Brothers 🤓

Awesome, immersive style of storytelling

I simply loooove the way that this podcast is told. It lets you immerse into different, exciting stories and makes you feel like you are there, watching the protagonists from an invisible specators perspective.

I especially enjoyed the episodes on the Star Wars sound and special effects.

Thanks a lot for this great podcast! :) Keep up your great work.
