What roles do Bigs play in family engagement in mentoring? How does family engagement enrich their experience? How do they enhance (or undermine) family relationships? The Big Ideas podcast—sponsored by the Search Institute—will explore these kinds of questions, using the Developmental Relationships Framework as a starting point. Each podcast will focus on a key issue and one of the elements of developmental relationships (plus one on the overall framework). We will interview a Big and a parent for each episode, working with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and the pilot agencies to identify people who can talk about specific, practical ways they have dealt with challenges in positive ways in their own Big-Parent relationship. Hosted by Abby Fisher.
