Aasif Mandvi: Getting out of my own head

Actor, writer and comedian Aasif Mandvi has given us so many laughs in his role as a correspondent on The Daily Show – on stage and in television and films. But when a doctor diagnoses him with tinnitus (ringing in the ears), he has to come to terms with his own vulnerability and the unpredictability of life. This eventually leads him to imagine a world with more possibilities, including falling in love – when he asks himself, "What could life be like, if I wasn't trapped in my own head?"

Eileen Wiesmann ,

Thank you for this great podcast!

Just finished listening to the episode with Matt Mercer. A wonderful story that had a very transformative effect on me. In between it brought tears to my eyes. The D&D meditation was just brilliant, very enlightening and at the same time I had to smile the whole time. Meditative story is one of the most innovative podcasts I have come across. Thanks for the great input!

S111D ,

Thank you

Hello Rohan, hello Sharon, Thank you so much for your two podcasts. I loved them like I love every podcast in Meditative Story. But these especially. I work so hard on being kind to myself and it is so hard. Still trying - a lifetime job, I guess :). Kind regards, Stefanie

Ebliv ,

so much more than a podcast

Listening to Meditative Story transcends my expectations each and every time. It has made me chuckle, it has brought me to tears (of joy or poignancy), it has made my face split open with a beaming smile. This podcast combines the grand simplicity of mindfulness with personal stories, making me feel connected with humans that I would otherwise never encounter. I have recommended this podcast with success to many a friend - it’s equally appropriate for those that are new to or well familiar with mindfulness practice. Even if you just want to listen for a calming story before bedtime, it works for that too. Thank you for existing, and thank you for all that you do Rohan, this project consistently adds great meaning to my life.
