Take a deep breath,
And gently exhale,
Breathe in peace and relaxation,
Until you feel well.
PAUSE
It’s time to open up;
It’s time for yourself;
These moments are precious,
And good for your health.
PAUSE
Now, imagine a time when you were angry,
Let it gently sit in your mind.
Keep your distance from the feeling,
So your teeth don’t grind.
PAUSE
Because anger is that emotion,
That is much like a crunch!
If not kept in check,
It can lead to a punch.
PAUSE
Why does it do that?
Because you’re holding it in.
What you really need,
Is a safe way to express it,
Without giving in.
PAUSE
So, imagine your anger
As popcorn, candy or seeds,
Or celery, cucumbers,
Or apples from trees.
PAUSE
And acknowledge these foods,
With their crunch and their taste,
Each offer a gift
That you won’t want to waste.
PAUSE
For with crunchy comes healthy,
and sometimes sweet,
So when your angry
It’s important to find that little treat.
And that treat is inside;
It’s what your anger says you need,
Speak it, write it
Just do it constructively.
And when the crunch is released,
And your body is calm,
You’ll be glad you expressed it,
You'll be ready to move on.

Breathe in sweet air,
Let it fill your whole being,
Relax and indulge.
It’s your time,
And taking this time
is freeing.
PAUSE
Keep breathing, and take a moment,
to gently stretch your body,
Visualize it opening up,
Releasing tension,
so your muscles loosen
and are no longer knotty.
PAUSE
There are times in life
when challenges are rough.
That’s the time in life
to open up, and find the fluff.
PAUSE
When you think of fluff,
It’s easy to see
marshmallows, clouds, pillows,
And cotton candy.
PAUSE
But fluff in your life is really your comfort zone,
Where you rejuvenate,
invigorate,
And feel special alone.
It’s your time to invest in you–
Letting go of your troubles,
And feeling anew.
PAUSE
So, imagine the rough spots
that zap your energy and time.
Breathe and throw a little fluff on them,
and feel yourself unwind.
PAUSE
So, imagine tension unspooling,
Like cotton candy so pink.
And your headache melting into pillows,
Where you let yourself sink.
PAUSE
And feel fluffy feathers,
Lift you up high.
On those days when your hard on yourself,
And you don’t know why.
PAUSE
Know your fluff can soften rough days,
And ease falls on the hard ones.
Just remember your fluff loves you,
And will always come.
For your fluff floats
all around you,
Like a cushion so soft
It will protect and surround you,
And bring you peace…a lot!

And breathe…

Bring yourself into your body,
And out of your head.
PAUSE…
Find the rhythm of your breath,
And ride its waves of air as it enters,
And exits,
Your body.
PAUSE…
Breathing in and filling you,
Breathing out and relaxing you.
PAUSE…
Breathe in,
Breathe out.
PAUSE…
Feel yourself open,
Ready to invite in healing.
LONG PAUSE…
See if you can imagine,
A small, soft cloud,
Hovering over your heart.
PAUSE…
It’s light and warm,
And slowly rains its healing waters upon your heart.
PAUSE…
Drip by drip,
You can feel yourself relax,
And cleanse.
Relax,
And release all that is dark,
All that is broken,
All that is in pain.
PAUSE…
Feel yourself melt under the rain,
Open,
And soften.
LONG PAUSE…
Now imagine this soft cloud of healing,
Cover your head,
Releasing its healing raindrops upon you.
Relaxing you,
Melting you,
And washing away all that has been bruised.
LONG PAUSE…
The cloud moves down your body,
And hovers over your belly.
Feel yourself soften and open to its presence.
PAUSE…
Each raindrop enters you,
Repairing what has been broken,
Restoring what has been disturbed.
PAUSE…
Feel yourself relax,
Opening even further to the hum of the healing raindrops.
LONG PAUSE…
Now imagine this gentle cloud expanding,
Covering your entire body.
PAUSE…
Its warmth soothes you,
And its waters soften you.
PAUSE…
Each raindrop falls upon you,
Absorbed into your skin,
And searches for the dark,
Seeks out the pain.
PAUSE…
No memory can hide.
No part of you is invisible.
PAUSE…
You soften and open even more,
You melt even deeper,
As the healing raindrops flood you with love.

Hello From Katie 💓 - Mental Health Awareness Month + What to Do in Low Moments

It's May 1st today, which means we're stepping into Mental Health Awareness Month.
What have you been doing to be kind to your mind lately?
On today's solo episode, I'm sharing about some fun, extra meditations we're putting out for you across the network, some for mental health, some for moms, and some to share about other podcasts the team and I love to support our mental health.
I'm also sharing the two things that are working really well for my mental health lately!

you add a little spice
to life.

So, take another breath,
draw it in slowly,
and feel it energizing you
from head to toe.

Now, take a moment,
and visualize your day.
See yourself sauntering
through it.
See yourself flashing smiles
as you walk down the street.
See yourself making witty jokes
at work.
And see yourself feeling
confident and empowered.
Stay with those images.
Hold onto that energy.

Now, breathe in again,
And as you do,
Imagine your favorite food dish.
See it.
Smell it.
Taste it.
Now, see yourself as the secret spice
that adds the kick to the dish!
