S-Town
S-Town is a podcast hosted by Brian Reed from Serial Productions, a New York Times company. The story follows a man named John who despises his Alabama town and decides to do something about it. He asks Brian to investigate the son of a wealthy family who's allegedly been bragging that he got away with murder. But when someone else ends up dead, the search for the truth leads to a nasty feud, a hunt for hidden treasure, and an unearthing of the mysteries of one man's life. Ich habe den Podcast sehr genossen. Am Anfang fand ich die Sprecher schwierig zu verstehen, hab mich aber schnell daran gewöhnt.
Best podcast

In my opinion the best podcast ever made. Incredible craftsmanship. An engrossing storyline that seems straight out of a Faulkner novel. It‘s at times hard to believe that this is not a fictional story.
Aimless, in part poor audio quality

Love the voice and style of Brian Reed (he kind of sounds like Anthony Porowski from Queer Eye), listened to „The Trojan Horse Affair“, but I did not understand this podcast. It seems like the reporter just aimlessly follows a weird guy around. The cryptic „descriptions“ of the episodes that tell listeners as much as nothing embody the lack of a stringent storytelling and goal. Another disappointment from the overrated House of Serial.
Great podcast 👍🏻
