Welcome back. On this episode we cover the Copper Age of Europe. We talk about some of the Chalcolithic cultures, mines and copper techniques the Europeans of the age.

In this podcast we finish off the Stone Age and discuss the Rise of the Indo-Europeans. The Indo-Europeans are the language family tree of which most European and some Asian languages come from. They seem to have either come into Europe or evolved into the Indo-Europeans right at the end of the Neolithic, beginning of the Chalcolithic and Bronze Age, depending on which theory you hold. In this episode we discuss some of the best and worst theories for Indo-European origins.

In this episode we round up the Neolithic cultures of Southern, Central and Western Europe. We talk about the Megalithic structures of the west and throw in a whole bunch of corny history jokes and obscure references that will assuredly please at least three people.

In this tardy podcast we undergo the Neolithic Revolution in Southern and Central Europe, focusing mainly on Balkan, Danubian and Eastern Cultures, including the incredible Cucuteni-Trypillian Culture. Join me as we reach back to about 7000 BC and discover some fascinating stuff about Europe's last era of the Stone Age.

Today we talk about the murky and difficult to define Mesolithic period in European history. We cover how the Paleolithic cultures became Mesolithic ones in adapting to the new weather patterns brought on by the end of the Pleistocene and the emergence of the Holocene. We cover the Mesolithic rather quickly so that we can get to the Neolithic when things really start to get cooking.

In this episode we'll discover Paleolithic Europe. Beginning with Homo Habilis and his tendency to be a snack for sabre-tooth cats we'll gradually make our way through some of the more important human ancestors in Europe until we make our way to Cro-Magnon man's arrival in Romania. From there we'll discuss some of these early modern human developments until the Pleistocene decides to end and the weather perks up a bit, ushering in a new era, the Mesolithic. But the Mesolithic is for next time.
