This Is the Sound Kim and Jenn

This is the last episode we'll be doing under the name This is the Sound. Starting in July you'll be hearing from us under the name "Miss Labeled" where we'll focus on creative women who are doing cool things, mostly from Atlanta.

To give you a sneak peek at our future episodes, Jenn interviews Jessica Hunt from The Fern Theatre company here in Atlanta. They just started up last year, and we talk about how they got started, their productions, fundraising, and the curse of Macbeth.

Kim & Jenn talk Christmas, stressing out about Christmas, Atlanta Christmas events, and Christmas songs. Featuring a "shit ton" of Christmas tunes from the likes of Jphono1, Louis Prima, The Rosebuds, Logan Pate, Jeffrey Butzer and TT Mahoney, The Dollyrots, Buck Owens and His Buckaroos, and Pete Jolly.

Kim and Jenn discuss the yearly Atlanta event called The Happenstance with one of the event organizers, Brian Fletcher.

The Happenstance is Atlanta's "Rock Lottery". Listen to learn how The Happenstance got started, how it works, who it benefits, and we'll talk about some of our favorite moments through out the years.

The Happenstance show takes place December 8, 2012 at The Earl in East Atlanta. It's $8 unless you bring some canned goods for the Atlanta food bank and then you can get in for $5. The Happenstance also benefits Sweet Relief.
