Ep 50 - Living Holistically with T1D: Angelica's Yoga and Ayurveda Journey Type 1 In Midlife

    • Health & Fitness

Diagnosed with T1D in 1985 at the age of 5, my guest Angelica DiPanfilo, navigated the challenges and positive experiences that come with this autoimmune condition. After over 20 years in the corporate world, managing blood sugars, energy levels, and overall health, she changed her path to a holistic journey in January 2020 through yoga and Ayurveda teacher training. Initially for personal healing, the transformative power led her to share these modalities.

Now, with multiple teaching certificates, she offers yoga and Ayurveda to those seeking profound changes in their physical and emotional well-being, drawing on her own experience of living with T1D.

Topics we discuss:
·       Yoga's Impact on Diabetes Management and Mental Well-being
·       Yoga Breathwork and Energy Constitution
·       Self-Discovery and Prioritizing Well-being in Midlife
·       Diabetes Management and Hormone Fluctuations
·       Managing Diabetes and Finding Relaxation through Breathing Exercises

Be sure to listen until the end of our conversation, as Angelica leads us through a gentle breathing exercise. Enjoy the show!
