    It's strange times that we're living in today, and no one can really wrap their heads around how everything will pan out for the next few weeks (or even months). As of today (3/16/20), all trivia games have been postponed until further notice. It's crazy to think that this could even be a possibility, but it's unfortunately the reality that we're all dealing with. We at BRE wish the best to all of our hosts (most of whom rely on working for us as a major part of their income) and to our locations who are even more affected by not being able to be open. Please know though that once the ban on social gathering has been lifted that we'll be back to training brains as soon as possible!!! But listen in to this week's show as Goldberg & Wadsy try and wrap their heads around the situation. Also, make sure you listen next week as we hope to have a great way for you to stay in the game by joining in on the podcast!!! And to end things off, some positive music to lift your spirits: The Professors of Sweet, Sweet Music with their tune "Better"!     IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER LOCAL MUSIC SHOWCASE EPISODE!!! In honor of the upcoming 3rd Annual Hartbeat Music Festival happinging on September 12th we have a podcast for you featuring 9 (yes, NINE) amazing artists from the Hartford area who will be participating in this years festivities down at Riverfront Plaza in downtown Hartford!!! Listen in as Goldberg, Wadsy and special guest Earl Henrichon of The Professors of Sweet, Sweet Music (#POSSM) chat about last year's festival, fill you in on what to expect this year and play some amazing local tracks from the bands.     It's "National Random Acts of Kindness Week"!!! So to celebrate, BaR Rated Trivia is treating everyone to Parks & Recreation themed trivia games at 7 great locations this Sunday afternoon at 4 pm!!!!! On this week's show, Goldberg & Wadsy are back to give you some ideas of ways to show some love to your fellow humans AND to fill you in on all the cool stuff happening in the world of Bar Rated Entertainment (like the 4 new locations we have starting up this week). There's also the return of the "Question of the Week" where one lucky person will win a $25 gift card to one of our long-time running Thursday night locations: the Tap & Vine in Wallingford!!!     Words can not describe the sadness here today at BRE Headquarters. The news of the passing of Kobe Bryant and his daughter Gianna (as well as the other 7 people aboard the helicopter) is devastating and hard for anyone to comprehend. As a former helicopter pilot, Wadsy sheds some light on what may have happened with the craft, buy obviously we'll be finding out more info as it comes into the news. However, we also received the news today that long time Pigs Eye Pub head of security David Graves passed away this weekend as well. Dave was the friendly face at the door for 15 years at Pigs Eye, and was there every single weekend joking it up with Goldberg by the DJ booth helping the nights go faster. Our condolences to all the affected families, but definitely not a fun way to start out the week. We do have for you in this episode another "Beer Style Simple" segment from Em Sauter (of www.PintsAndPanels.com) as well as your #5PointPhrase and a musical track from an amazing Hartford area musician: Grammy award-winning Charmagne Trip with her song "Lately". In the words of Jay Williams of ESPN: "I hope that everybody at home, you give that person next to you -- whatever thing you have wrong in your life with them, it might be small or big -- let that shit go. It doesn't matter. None of that stuff matters, man. This is about life and being precious with every damn second we have here." Peace & Love #RIPDave
