    Crap On Extra: Coachella Review plus Weird Al With Yo Gaba Gaba!

    MUSIC Weekend one of Coachella is in the books, and many attendees secured their tickets through an installment plan. Highlights:    Weezer slipped in a cover of Metallica's "Enter Sandman" during their Saturday set at Coachella, the same song they covered for 2021's 'Blacklist', an album of Metallica songs performed by different artists.          Queen guitarist Brian May popped up from the Coachella stage on Friday night to help singer Benson Boone perform "Bohemian Rhapsody".       Green Day's Billie Joe Armstrong made a surprise appearance during The Go Gos performance at Coachella on Friday night, one of the first shows from the new wave legends since 2022.        Lady Gaga's headlining set Friday night was epic, and some people are already calling it the best in the history of Coachella.         Weird Al Yankovic made his Coachella debut . . . joining Yo Gabba Gabba for the classic Muppet track "The Rainbow Connection".     During Green Day's set on Saturday night, their pyro accidentally lit a nearby palm tree on fire.         Missy Elliott went full-on "Transformers", starting her set as a car, before morphing into herself.       Charli XCX brought out some big guns for her set:  Troye Sivan, Billie Eilish, and Lorde.          A California man was arrested after he allegedly admitted a bomb threat on the Coachella Music Festival.    Britney Spears touched down in Mexico the other day for a little vacation and one of her body guards was carrying a BABY DOLL wrapped in a pink blanket as they got off the plane.   Van Halen’s only number-one song, 1984’s “Jump,” has surpassed a billion streams on Spotify. Alex Van Halen says, "Thanks to all the fans for listening!"   TV Mickey Rourke's time on the UK's "Celebrity Big Brother" was mercifully short.  He's been bounced from the show due to "inappropriate language" and "unacceptable behavior."   Blue Origin’s first all-female space crew is going into space this morning.    "White Lotus" Season 3 star Aimee Lou Wood has been pretty vocal about not liking the attention she gets for her "unique" teeth.  So she wasn't very amused when "Saturday Night Live" parodied her looks this weekend.   MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS: A new doc, out now, explores the life of John Lennon and his wife Yoko Ono after The Beatles' split: 'One to One: John & Yoko' chronicles their move and life in early 70s New York City through a collage of audio recordings and remastered concert footage. RIP: Actor Nicky Katt, from "Boston Public" and "Dazed and Confused", passed away.  No word on the cause of death.  He was only 54.  Director Ted Kotcheff died.  He was 94.  His films include "First Blood", "Weekend at Bernie's", and the underseen masterpiece "Wake in Fright".  AND THAT IS YOUR CRAP ON CELEBRITIES!     Crap On Extra: A Huge Weezer Update and SZA has officially made it

    MUSIC Weezer's gig at Coachella is still on for Saturday after bassist Scott Shriner's wife was shot by L.A. cops and then charged with attempted murder   Blink-182 is scheduled to perform in St. Louis on Friday, September 26 at HCA. Some news on the guys: Travis Barker of Blink-182 is relaunching his Reverb shop on Wednesday and will be selling off three drum kits plus skate decks, long boards, bomber jackets, framed tour artwork and more St. Louis’ own, SZA brought out her "gratitude jar" on "Sesame Street" and it was the cutest thing ever   Gene Simmons is producer Rick Rubin’s guest on his Tetragrammaton podcast, where they spoke for three-and-a-half hours. Bono’s documentary Stories of Surrender will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in the South of France, May 13th to May 24th. The film will then debut on AppleTV+ on May 30th.   Rarities from Bruce Springsteen, The Killers, Talking Heads, Sam Fender and more are featured among the over 325 releases slated for Record Store Day on Saturday. The Killers and Bruce Springsteen - Encore at the Garden - 12-inch. Springsteen joined The Killers on stage at Madison Square Garden on October 1st, 2022 and this EP has all three songs. Post Malone - Tribute to Nirvana - LP. All proceeds from this LP will be donated to Musicares’s Addiction Recovery/Mental Health division.  Rage Against the Machine - Live On Tour 1993 - 2-LP. This is a compilation of live recordings from the band’s first world tour.  The Struts - "Rock 'n' Roll Fantasy" - 7-inch. This is the first taste of a Bad Company tribute album due out later this year. Scott Weiland - "I Know It's Too Late" - 7-inch. This is an unreleased track from sessions for Weiland’s 2008 solo album, Happy In Galoshes, and will appear on an upcoming deluxe reissue of the album.   TV Eric Dane has been diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), a progressive neurodegenerative disease.   Betty White lived to be 99, and she often credited her longevity to her positive attitude.  And JUNK FOOD. Betty reportedly ate a HOT DOG every day.  And she also loved her vodka.  But she didn't stop there.   Movies released this weekend!     Crap On Extra: Rock Star's Wife Shot and Hacks Worry Slash!

    MUSIC The wife of Weezer bassist Scott Shriner, Jillan Lauren, was shot by Los Angeles police Tuesday while they were pursuing three hit-and-run suspects   Slash has announced he's leaving X, the platform formally known as Twitter, after his account was hacked last week. He wrote, "This was a considered decision after repeated hacks, and it reflects a shift in how I'd like to stay connected moving forward. You can still find me on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook, where I'll be posting regular updates."    I would guess that the paparazzi are the most annoying thing about being famous.  But once you let them get to you, they've won.  And that's what happened to Justin Bieber yesterday in Palm Springs.    Is the snake semen concoction that Jessica Simpson uses on her throat just snake OIL?   Your weekly Jelly Roll news: Jelly Roll just won a very prestigious award at Oxford in England at the 2025 World Literacy Summit.   Morgan Wallen just broke a record Taylor Swift held.  He now has the most top 10s on the Billboard Hot 100 from an album prior to its release.  He has five songs that have already made the top 10, and his album "I'm the Problem" isn't out until May 16th.    TV Aimee Lou Wood from "The White Lotus" has been getting attention for her gapped front teeth, but it's making her "a bit sad."   MOVING ON INTO MOVIE NEWS: DC fans are worried that 'The Batman II' may never come to theatres after star Robert Pattinson is reportedly being eyed for a villainous role in 'Dune 3'.
