Peers were surveyed on which topics they were interested in and podcasts were produced. Discussions between the group on relevant topics & special guests. Our intent is that young people who feel isolated can tap into discussions they may not feel comfortable having face to face.

Project funded by NSW Department of Communities & Justice. Avalon Youth Hub is a collaboration of Youth Services on the Northern Beaches led by the Burdekin Association.

    James Brechney "Breko" was captain of Barrenjoey High in the early 2000's. He founded the viral rainbow chalking movement, DIY rainbow in 2013. From there he catapulted into the limelight, being elected onto the board of the Sydney Mardi Gras and asked to work with the United Nations body UNESCO on an anti-bullying and anti-homophobia project across Thailand. James talks to the current captain of Barrenjoey High (Astrid) about growing up in Avalon, and what changes he would like to see in community going forward.

For Spencer his transition was the same as many, he didn't have any idea what he wanted to do with his life. His solution was to try everything, he has had many jobs including; gardening, pizza delivery, barista and of course film making. This helped him decide what he didn't want to do.
