Learn Finnish

I’m a native English speaker living in Finland and with a basic-to-intermediate proficiency in Finnish thanks to some excellent teachers when I first moved here. My adult daughter who lives in UK is learning Finnish and this podcast popped up in my recommendations so I decided to see if it would help her. I didn’t get to the end of the first episode because it was essentially dull. There was a lot of focus on the pronunciation of words which may prove useful but no real explanation of how the language works. Additionally, it used the plural form of “you” (te as opposed to sinä) where I don’t believe it was necessary or appropriate and without explaining that this was the plural form so that the uninformed beginner could come away believing that this is the only “you” in the Finnish language. It also sounded like an AI voice over which made me wonder if the strange choices were the result of an AI produced script with insufficient/no qualified human oversight.
