Ep. 7 - PUTNEY SWOPE

Well, THAT Was Something... Podcast

It's 2021, and we definitely need a diversion from everything that's going on. So how about a movie involving subversion, revolution, a corrupt president who might be overcompensating for his shortcomings, and black rage? But don't worry, it's a comedy. PUTNEY SWOPE is a 1969 time-capsule of a movie about a black man who takes over Madison Avenue and flips it on its head. Written, directed and - we guess, starring*? - Robert Downey, Sr. (yes, Iron Man's dad). Hosted by Ken Green and Angela Sawyer.

*We say "starring" because the voice of the lead actor is actually Downey Sr., who said he did so because the actual lead kept forgetting his lines.

Also, apologies for the delay and quality of the sound of show. It's been a trying January for all of us in lots of ways.
