The movie theatre is a venue; a luxury, to which only some of us can afford to indulge regularly. Subscription services, like, Movies Pass, Stubs, and Cinemark’s Movie Club make that indulgence a more considerable option than waiting for movies to premiere on Netflix. No matter who’s paying, it’s a great experience when we’re paying less. 1. Movie Pass is a great concept but a horrible business model based on the average subscription holder not going to movies. 2. Studios could totally ruin the nostalgia of watching movies in theaters but also increase attendance with Episodic Movie or the Event Film.
