#69: The power of personal projects with Kate T Parker Shoot Edit Chat Repeat

    • Business

Welcome to episode 69 of Shoot Edit Chat Repeat, the podcast for people photographers. Hosted by two leading UK portrait photographers, Vicki Knights & Eddie Judd.

We have a cracking episode for you this week. A perfect bit of light entertainment to take your mind off the crazy world we are living in at the moment.

We are chatting with photographer, NY Times best-selling author & US photographer, Kate T Parker.

Kate's 'Strong is the New Pretty' photo series reached global acclaim and has led to her authoring 3 best-selling books, appearing on TV shows such as CNN, and being shared by celebrities such as David Beckham and Emma Watson.

But this didn't come easily...in this interview Kate talks us through the numerous rejections she received, and her 'sliding doors' moment when she could have just thrown the towel in, just before her photo series went viral.

We talk about the power of personal projects, and how embracing your own creativity can take you through these uncertain times. And we talk about feminism, how the 'Heart of a Boy' book came about and why boys need to be feminists too.

It's a brilliant chat and we know you're going to love Kate.

You can get your hands on Kate's brilliant books, here in our new Amazon store.
