The Power Broker book club is a fantastic way to engage with this podcast!
So happy they did that. I’ve never experience another podcast do this and it’s great!
Design's Detour: When 99% Invisible Shifted Its Focus
I've been a long-time fan of "99% Invisible," initially drawn in by its unique exploration of design and architecture, and the subtle intricacies of our built environment. However, the recent changes in the podcast, coinciding with new staff members, have led to a shift in its direction. The introduction of political perspectives into the content, although informative, diverges from what I originally loved about the podcast - its focus on design without the influence of current politics. While some may appreciate this new approach, I find myself nostalgic for the original charm and neutrality that made "99% Invisible" a standout for me.
A lovely and consistent island of calm
I’ve been listening to 99pi for as long as I’ve been listening to podcasts. It’s a warm hug that always introduces such fascinating concepts with heart and honesty. Thanks to Roman and the team for such great work for such a long time.
