What Roman Mars Can Learn About Con Law
Professor Elizabeth Joh teaches Intro to Constitutional Law and most of the time this is a pretty straight forward job. But when Trump came into office, everything changed. During the four years of the Trump presidency, Professor Joh would check Twitter five minutes before each class to find out what the 45th President had said and how it jibes with 200 years of the judicial branch interpreting and ruling on the Constitution. Acclaimed podcaster Roman Mars (99% Invisible) was so anxious about all the norms and laws being tested in the Trump era that he asked his neighbor, Elizabeth, to explain what was going on in the world from a Constitutional law perspective. Even after Trump left office, there is still so much for Roman to learn. What Roman Mars Can Learn About Con Law is a weekly, fun, casual Con Law 101 class that uses the tumultuous activities of the executive, legislative, and judicial branches to teach us all about the US Constitution. All music for the show comes from Doomtree, an independent hip-hop collective and record label based in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Great podcast that could easily be welcomed in my feed more often.
Clever stuff but in an approachable way

I am UK based and came across this by accident when it focused on the Trump era. Delighted that it continues, it is engrossing and the voices of both presenters, their mannerisms and way of explaining laws, concepts, etc is excellent. Currently working my way through the back catalogue and highly recommend the one about ‘emoluments’. I look forward to new editions as they come out, utterly brilliant!
Thank you

Thank you for a great wonderful and entreating education
Surprisingly interesting

As a non-American, and, frankly, someone who thinks the US constitution is a vastly over-rated and over-venerated document, I'm surprised how fascinating I find this. Whatever else one might say about the world's most powerful tantrum-throwing toddler, he certainly provides an endless stream of material of anyone even vaguely and academically curious about constitutional law.
A great podcast

This is a great podcast. Clear and educational and delivered with humour. If, like most of us, you are astonished what Trump seems to be getting away with - this will leave your speechless. Highly recommended.

I love this podcast and also wish it was more frequent. The format, content and music is excellent, & Elizabeth Joh is my absolute hero. Her deadpan delivery of Trump’s incoherent crazed tweets is an absolute joy. More please!
Great lessons

Provides great background to the current issues in American politics, and also to its constitution in general. And yes, the hosts are clearly not Trump fans (and to say I am not either would be somewhat of an understatement) but regardless of your politics it makes clear that Trump does appear to be violating the constitution and is raising ethical and legal issues. From a British, UK-based Radiotopia fan!
