Listening to the podcast is the football equivalent of falling head over heels for a gorgeous girl in the summer of ’95—only to fast forward to today, where you’re stuck wandering the aisles of Dunelm with her. Not exactly the thrill you signed up for, but hey, such is life. That’s not a dig at the hosts of content, it’s great. Just not what I thought would happen when I fell in love with football after Bryan Robson scored against France after 30 second’s.

Not addressing kiers freebie’s at Arsenal, very quick to make judgements about the right but not the left on the political divide. Overall can be Interesting listen at times but very one sided on political jokes which becomes a tad boring. Seems all the politician jokes have stopped now Labour government is running the country.

Great stuff

The show gives some great insight into the world of football finance, helping to pierce the sometimes murky world with witty and intelligent discussions. The guests are also always well worth listening to.

As this is probably the quickest way of getting a question answered given the backlog, what are the economics of WSL teams hosting games at 3rd party stadia? Is more revenue brought in than the rental costs and why do West Ham never host any Women’s games at the London Stadium… oh and great show 5 stars!

The insight into the workings of football clubs, but dear Lord the Palace-Brighton ‘banter’ is unbearable. Those two teams just played each other and I won’t listen to the next episode because the ‘gentle ribbing’ will be off the charts. Before each episode I now guess how many times Kevin Day will say ‘Palace’.
