Daniel Barnett better than ever!
The highlight of my podcast library. After having previously subscribed to Daniel Barnett’s email updates years ago, I was thrilled to recently find his Podcasts. These are utterly indispensable - for HR folk and anyone else tasked with employment law matters. Clear! Animated! Relevant! Subscribe and be happy.
Life saver! Thank you for empowering myself and my partner to understand, in layman’s terms, how employment law does matter!!
I’m about to employ 4 staff for the first time and felt like I was no where near aware of my requirements as an employer.
Also, my partner suddenly got dismissed recently ( for gross misconduct of all things!). But after listening to your podcasts, buying your books and going through his contract and the disciplinary process (he suffered) with a fine tooth comb. We have found multiple breeches and inconsistencies, not to mention a complete failure of the burchell test. The appeal is tomorrow, and my partner is totally ready.
I now also feel like I have a true grasp of what it is to be a good employer (not just reasonable as the texts continually referred to!), and I hope to ensure that I never fall foul of breaching anyone’s contract!
We are very grateful to you. Thank you David. I plan on joining the inner circle to continue with my learning. Very enjoyable actually!! Who knew employment law could be so exciting!
Great content for all management levels
Im currently awaiting the start of a new role and working nights until lockdown is over. I was fairly nervous about starting my new role but after a couple of nights listening to these podcasts I feel confident in my knowledge again! I would recommend these podcasts to all cipd students as well as current HR professionals!
