It may surprise you, but very little is known about Women’s Health, and many taboos still exist. With women doing worse than men in terms of health outcomes, and waiting times of up to 8 YEARS to reach a diagnosis of certain gynaecological conditions, we still have a long way to go until we’ve got ‘Women’s Health’ right.
In this episode, Dr Philippa Kaye, practicing GP with over 14 years experience, shares her insights into where we are going wrong with women’s health. She takes us on a journey, guiding us through everything we need to know across all stages of a women’s life, from puberty, to menstruation, to contraception, breast checking and cancer screening, to menopause.
You might recognise Dr Philippa from popular daytime TV show ‘This Morning’, where she is their resident doctor. But she also wears many hats. She is a journalist and best selling author of chart topping books, including The M Word and Breasts, an owners guide.
Dr Philippa shares her expert advice to empower you to take ownership of your health and embrace being a woman.
