We are also joined by Simon Poole (CiS) who tells us about a time in his life when his desire for excellence in sport caused him harm.

Amy Smith - is a writer for Faith in Kids.

Helen Thorne - is the Director of Training and Resources for Biblical Counselling UK, which seeks to foster and support Christians as they go about the transforming work of Christ that is accomplished through personal ministry of the Word. Faith In Parents #104 | Celebrating Christmas On The Other Side Of The World

Faith In Parents #104 | Celebrating Christmas On The Other Side Of The World

Imagine a place where Father Christmas and baubles celebrate New Year (not Christmas). In that land the local church does a Christmas nativity play, except the cast don't know what the angel does  next or where the baby is born. This is Kazakhstan. Hear about the thrills, the surprises and the lessons from Christmas in far off lands.

Ed Drew - is the Director of Faith in Kids. Starting out as an engineer, he became the children's ministry leader for a large church in London for 12 years, before setting up Faith in Kids in 2017. He is the author of Meals with Jesus, the Wonder of Easter and The Adventure of Christmas. He is the presenter of the Faith in Kids podcast. He’s married to Mary and they have three children.

Amy Smith - is a writer for Faith in Kids. She co-hosts the Faith in Parents podcast. She lives in Liverpool with her husband Ste and their four lively children. She is passionate about teaching the Bible to children faithfully, simply and creatively. Amy is happiest on a beach or adventuring with her family.

Andy & Jo - with their 2 daughters who are 11 and nearly 13, live in
Kazakhstan. Sometimes they are working in "normal" jobs like project
management and finance but they are focused on seeing the small local
Church encouraged, equipped and mobilised to reach out to
those around them. Kazakhstan is a beautiful country filled with amazing
people and adventure! Due to their sensitivity of their ministry, they have asked to withhold their surname.
Ken & Helen - spent 4 years in the Indian Subcontinent seeking to share their lives and the Gospel with their community before returning to live in Bradford where they and their two daughters now live and work.

Faith in Parents

Every episode is a ‘return-to’. So much wisdom and truth presented so humbly (and amusingly).

Fab!

Love this podcast. I have just listened to the ‘parenting the 8-11 year olds’. Just brilliant! Thank you for the honesty of the participants - really enjoyed listening!

RuSte07 ,

Love this podcast!

I’ve really benefited from getting to listen in to godly parents sharing their wisdom, being honest about their failures and showing how God’s grace can transform families. I love the podcasts slots aimed at kids too-really accessible.
