Customer Reviews
Needed right now!
Now more than ever men need a place to talk about Fatherhood. Matthew provides the space for this. This podcast provides some great answers around what it takes to be a great father and a great business man.
Shaping me into a better father (and better person)
Heart of Dad is not just about being a dad. It is about understanding ourselves, it is about balancing the competing priorities in life, about reconciling broken relationships, recognising that we hold the power to choose our own feelings, and so much more.
With each new season I continue to be surprised by the things I learn. Not just what I learn about dads and entrepreneurs, but the things I learn about myself. As a direct result of listening to this podcast I have found a calmer, more productive way to deal with my reactions to challenging parenting situations. I have picked up multiple tips that help me remain focused on what is important in any given moment. One my my favorites is "When you say no to something you are saying yes to something else that is more important." This has helped me stay true to what I am saying is important in my life.
Most recently, season 4 Episode 5 had a wonderful piece of wisdom that really hit home "People are doing the best they can with the current thinking they have." That one line unlocked something within me and has helped me take the first step towards mending a relationship with my mother. A relationship that has been broken for over 20 years.
Listen to this podcast with open ears and an open heart. You'll learn things about fatherhood, family and self that will surprise you, and they might just change your life.
Thank you Matt.
Insight
Listening to Matt and Sam chat about being a dad and so much more brought back so many memories of being the father of two young boys, I wish I’d had a coach to talk to 20 years ago.... Thanks for this insight Matt
