Heroes of Reality. This podcast will feature conversations with brave and brilliant people on their own hero’s journey.

What is the hero’s journey? It is a narrative story arch that describes the pattern of human potential coined by the late great Joseph Campbell.

It is my belief that life is a game and you are the player. It is up to you to make your life an epic story and a game worthy of playing.

We will be combining the narrative lens of the hero's journey while applying game terminology describing real-world experiences.

Think of it as the hero’s journey meets ready player one for life.

We will be adventuring through areas of psychology, technology, pharmacology, sociology and business.

We will find out what mental/physical buffs do they cast on themselves to armor up as they do battle against the dungeon master of fate.

As they define their strategy of game play, you hear them level up as they complete each quests they encounter.

We will be uncovering and discovering the holy grail that drives these hero's and threshold guardians that block their way.

We learn their stories, struggles, and lessons to hopefully inspire you on your own hero's journey.

    Alon Braun is a modern-day renaissance man. Early in life, he was an elite member of Israel’s cyber special forces unit while simultaneously the founder of a startup funded by Apple Israel. He then went on to become a marine biologist with a Master’s in Oceanography and published research on the cell biology of coral, with his research appearing in Al Gore’s documentary An Inconvenient Truth. Alon then took a 3-year certification as a Feldenkreis body movement teacher, while working as an online marketing guru and business accelerator strategist, helping identify growth strategies using technology and data.

    As an entrepreneur, Alon is the founder of Neurotech Analytics and Riverbank Consulting. He has a passion for scaling enterprises and scientific innovations, especially in the deep tech industry. His new book, The Entrepreneur Journey: 8 Steps from Inspiration to Global Impact, was released in April 2021.     Sara is a psychedelic therapist and educator. She began her MAPS journey in 2012 with the Zendo Project. Sara served as MAPS Director of Harm Reduction (2016-2020) and Harm Reduction Training and Education Coordinator (2014-2016). She contributed to the development of the Zendo Project training curriculum and has facilitated psychedelic peer support workshops worldwide. Sara was a sub-investigator for MAPS Phase 2 and Phase 3 clinical trials researching the safety and efficacy of MDMA-Assisted Therapy for the treatment of PTSD. She teaches MDMA and psychedelic-assisted therapy through MAPS and is the Lead Instructor at the Integrative Psychiatry Institute’s Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy Training.  Sara is passionate about helping to educate the next generation of psychedelic therapists. Sara presents at conferences and events on the topics of psychedelic-assisted therapy, harm reduction, peer support, and the potential of psychedelics as catalysts for individual, community, and collective healing. She lives in Boulder, Colorado.
