In 2018, we were commissioned to create a design-led cultural hub on Lower Stable Street. We have curated a collaborative family of forward-thinking brands and host a year-round calendar of events including exhibitions, installations and markets. Our mission is to support these new businesses and provide an environment in which they can thrive and grow. We are now creating a podcast to share the stories of every shop owner, market trader and exhibition partner. 
In each episode of the podcast we will be finding out the real stories of how these businesses have developed and how the community has shaped their journey.

    In Episode 9 we chat with Katie Dolby who’s the Managing Director at Cubitts.
    Cubitts is the modern spectacle maker which was founded in King's Cross in 2013. Katie brought us up to speed with what’s happened since then, including recently opening a store in New York, the services Cubitt’s offer and we chat about Cubitt’s recently being certified as a B-Corp which Katie explains.
    We also popped down to the store after this chat and need to get ourselves a pair of Cubbit’s sunnies, they’re so stylish!

    In this episode we chat to Pippa Catterall who is the Professor of History and Policy at the University of Westminster.
    We could have done 2 episodes on Pippa & her impressive career but this episode was all about Artwork by students from the University of Westminster which has been selected for a new exhibition exploring and celebrating Earth Day on Lower Stable Street.
    Pippa organised the competition so we spoke about her selection process, the themes within the artwork & the most rewarding part of her job and much more.
    It’s the second annual arts collaboration between the University of Westminster and King’s
    Cross, following a successful exhibition celebrating Earth Day 2023 and we really recommend you go & check it out!
