    In this episode, Catherine is joined by Jeffrey Boadi to bust myths and misconceptions around plant-based food and a vegan diet.
    Episode Guest:2017 was a major shift for Jeffrey in terms of shifting his eating pattern to one that solely prioritised plants.
    Now it wasn’t all plain sailing - it was rewiring everything he knew about health and nutrition. But it wasn’t long before he started getting the hang of it and optimising it for health and performance, as well as enhancing his skills in the kitchen.
    He soon got to a point where he was building a solid understanding of plant-based nutrition and it’s benefits for our physiology, and began sharing nutritious and delicious recipes on his Twitter and Instagram accounts, which began getting positive feedback from an ever-growing community.
    And thus The Wealth of Health was born - a space where layers could be added to the journey he was on and show people that plant-based living is the way forward for many.
    Plant-based nutrition is a true passion for Jeffrey, and he wants this space to be somewhere you can learn and leave with greater understanding of how adding more plants to your plate can benefit you - and those around you.

This is what we encourage. There are plenty of ways to get enough protein, calcium, and other nutrients that don’t involve eating meat, eggs, or dairy. Research is your friend!Jeffrey has lots of great, simple resources to help your plant-based journey start smoothly. Going plant-based or vegan can improve other aspects of your health and wellbeing and can also make you more aware of what you’re putting into your body. If being vegan is important to you ethically then its important to honour that, as by not doing so you will add extra stress - so learning how to do this in a healthy way is a win:win!

    Danielle, from The Single Truth podcast, and I, are back with the wonderfully insightful Yogi Amrit Desai (affectionately known as Gurudev) for a discussion on how to have perfect relationships. We delve deep into what is needed to achieve this with help from Gurudev's book 'The Yoga of Relationships' and also go through some real-life examples that you can apply to your own life.
    Gurudev also takes us through a brilliant meditation which is certainly worth doing at the end! I really enjoyed this conversation and I hope you do too.

    Episode Guest:Gurudev Shri Amritji is one of a handful of Gurus who came to America in the early 1960's, pioneering a Yoga craze that has grown into the massive worldwide yoga practices we know today. He is the last living Guru from this initial wave.
    Over the past 57 years, Amritji has founded some of the largest not-for-profit yoga centers in North America. The seeds of yoga he has planted have since grown into the Yoga Society of Pennsylvania, (founded in 1966), which became the largest of its kind by 1970. From the time he first began training yoga teachers in the early 1960s, today there are a total of more than 10,000 certified Yoga and Yoga Nidra teachers in more than 40 countries around the world.
    Amritji founded two not-for-profit Kripalu Yoga Ashrams and program centers, one in Sumneytown, PA, in 1971 (with a resident staff of 50) that quickly expanded into a second center at Summit Station, PA, in 1976.  This new center grew to a resident staff size of 150. By 1983,  the Kripalu Yoga Centre (founded in Massachusetts) proved to be the largest  Yoga and Health Centre in North America. A thriving international Yoga Center with 350 full-time resident and volunteer staff, this center accommodated more than 300 guests.
    Under Amritji’s guidance, those disciples committed to the lineage and its teachings and became his acharyas - qualified to lead his programmes and yoga teacher training, not only at Kripalu but internationally.
    In 2001, Amritji founded the Amrit Yoga Institute (AYI) in Salt Springs, Florida which has become a thriving international yoga and ayurveda center, where he presently resides and teaches.
