[051] A Rewirement Story with Tracy Hall

[051] A Rewirement Story with Tracy Hall

In this latest episode I was joined in conversation by someone I had the pleasure of working with for a number of years during my corporate career, and again when she came to me for a career Game Plan. The fabulously fun and funny Tracy Hall invited me to her home for this one, and it was so good to reminisce over the good old days, reflect on the powerful conversation we had before she made the decision to take early retirement, or 'rewirement' as she called it! and hear all about what she's getting up to now in life after corporate! I hope you enjoy her story and are inspired to think about what it is you could do if you ever took the leap yoursef.

[047] Ditching Imposter Syndrome with Clare Josa

[047] Ditching Imposter Syndrome with Clare Josa

In the first episode in the transitions series, we're diving deep into a topic that touches so many of us, not just as we transition but in every day work and life: Imposter Syndrome. Joining me for this conversation is Clare Josa, author of Ditching Imposter Syndrome and a leading voice on the matter.

Clare shares her own story of  transitioning from a career in engineering to the realms of psychology and NLP after her own battle with imposter syndrome. This shift led her to create the Natural Resilience Method, a powerful tool designed to help individuals overcome it altogether, as well as write a number of best-selling books.

In our conversation, we unpack what imposter syndrome really means, why it seems to be so common, why its not just a woman's challenge, and how it can affect our overall well-being and job performance. Clare shares some incredibly effective strategies for overcoming these doubts, highlighting how crucial it is to embrace our personal power and stay true to ourselves - a message I am completely aligned with.

We also touch on the responsibility of organisations in creating environments that support employees through their career journeys and foster inclusive cultures that can help diminish the impact of imposter syndrome.

So, if you've ever felt like you're not quite measuring up or that your success is just a stroke of luck, this episode is for you. Let's get started and learn how to claim our space with confidence.
