All encompassing journalism made with the love for Ukraine

I have listened to Ukraine the latest since the beginning. It’s well researched stories of all aspects of and effects on daily life during the Illegal full scale war in Ukraine. Although I along with many others miss David’s intro each day, the crew in telegraph towers make him proud, every single broadcast. The structure of frontline update along with interviews and guest appearances, makes for avid listening. The team themselves delivering the podcast with incredible insight and it must be said, humour. By listening daily I feel that I am doing a little to support Ukraine in an odd sort of way. I don’t mind how many times Dom uses the word ‘quote’. I love his sense of humour and his own comments. All the team at Ukraine the Latest are doing a brilliant job and I hope it continues. Thank you to everyone for your commitment, humour and the passion for Ukraine.

The loss of David Knowles has impacted on the quality of this podcast. While still good in parts, and sometimes still enlightening, it too often reverts to lazy cheerleading for Ukraine, huffing about political decisions, and pantomime dismissal of Russia. Too much gung ho talk, too little analysis and all far removed from realpolitik. The jolly japes and 6th form common room humor of Don and Francis add nothing to the show but an increased rambling length. Where is an editors hand in all of this?
