Dear Dom, Francis and the whole team at Ukraine the Latest. I am outraged and sincerely hope you don’t mind me venting my anger on this podcast. My outrage comes from what Trump has done in just the last couple of days. Withholding aid and now cutting off intelligence for Ukraine must be the worst possible scenario for a country and the bravest of people, who are fighting for survival, for their land, their future democracy. It is difficult to believe that Trump wants peace. In fact, I don’t believe he could care less about lives lost, innocent people and children being battered constantly by murderous thugs. What he wants is to plunder Ukraine, get rid of Zelensky and cooperate with his best buddy, Putin. I have no doubt they will share the spoils between them. Poor Zelensky is between a rock and a hard place and it’s easy for me to say it, but I sincerely hope he is not pressured enough to sign away anything to that traitorous Trump and his sycophants. Slava Ukraini!

Increasingly unlistenable as Dom rattles through his updates at breakneck as if they were just lists — this is lazy writing. Please continue to have Francis doing the updates integrating the military and political aspects; he is so just much better. Please also drop the “jokes” — these are unfunny, self-indulgent and inappropriate.

“Like bringing a box of blanks to a Tulsi Gabbard range day” still makes me laugh. Thank you for the humour guys- a most welcome distraction in these anxious times. Keep up the superb work and God bless.

Plays to the classic Telegraph strength in terms of its foreign coverage

I cannot quite believe my essential daily podcast is from The Telegraph, but it is, and not only that it should be as essential for more people. Along with the battlefield updates from Dom, the political analysis from Francis, frequent contributions from Hamish, et al, all manner of input from others involved in the conflict in their own ways, especially the people of Ukraine and the civil bodies created to assist on the humanitarian and military levels, it’s the sheer overwhelming sense of care for the future of Ukraine, it’s peoples’ ability to determine their future for themselves, and for freedom/democracy everywhere that this podcast surpasses others. Even Francis’ malapropisms become somewhat endearing after a while. The response around David’s sudden death was very moving, showing care, dignity , respect, not a little humour, and doing exactly what David would want; remaining ‘on point’ to the tune he developed with such obvious love. Thank you.

Im so sorry about David, the only day i haven’t heard his voice in the last 3 years was when he was taking time off. No other way of explaining other than this is simply the best resource for anyone who wants to know what is happening in Ukraine and in russia.

Great work, but guys, who cares what Starmer wears!
