This show was once great and took a dive after Tom was dismissed. The topics aren’t as interesting, the hosts aren’t as good. Magna is comes off as judgmental, elitist, and sanctimonious, and David (when he is on) can’t seem to get a sentence out without saying ‘ah-ah-ah-ah) every eight seconds. Not great for the radio medium. Everything as of late is about C-19 with no other news coverage. Lastly, it’s your job in the news to help ensure correct information is being put out to the masses. When callers phone in and push patently false info, the hosts do nothing to push back or correct them. The world doesn’t need platform for misinformation and propaganda.

NPR has tuned propaganda. Want to hear a full positive Trump episode, and I’m not even a Trump fan. The balance of the 90’s and early 2000’s are gone. Just repot both sides with dialogue and debate, please.

Tom is fantastic

Obviously I don’t know the details of why Tom Ashbrook was dismissed but I appreciate that the allegations had to be taken seriously and acted upon. It is such a shame though, that this programme has gone downhill so much since his departure. I have found myself shouting at my iPhone on too many occasions because of poor research, incorrect facts, shrill presentation and political bias. I came across On Point on the car radio many years ago whilst vacationing in Florida and I’ve listened ever since. To get such a high quality perspective of current affairs from the other side of the pond was important to me. So it’s with a heavy heart that I’m hitting the delete button But I just can stand it any longer. Goodbye.
