Power athlete Radio is the number 1 strength and conditioning podcast in the world that specialises in 80s movies reviews, square body trucks and daily weather updates.
Expect your bench press numbers to improve and your biceps to start growing-ing-ing due to the sheer number of knowledge bombs dropped in each episode. You will also see marked improvements in your arsenal of action movie quotes, knowledge of the Rambo franchise and appreciation of the movie Vision Quest.
When it comes to delivering the weather Power Athlete Radio is second to none. You will be frequently updated with the weather situation in Texas including wind speed , cloud cover and daily highs and lows. All of this is information especially useful when you live in London, England.
In a way your time spent listening to Power athlete radio is very much like watching the Fast and Furious franchise.
Some podcasts are like Fast 1; unmissable, true classics, you can listen to them over and over again.
Some episodes are like Hobbs and Shaw: fast paced, cheesy quotes, an over obsession with Dwayne Johnson and you walk away with a distinct feeling of not knowing exactly what just happened but knowing you’re probably going to watch (listen) again.
However not a single episode is anything like the greatest movie franchise on earths ugly ginger stepchild. I am of course talking about Tokyo Drift. It had so much potential but every time falls short. Power Athlete radio does not make the same mistake, every episode is as good as the last.
If you’re looking for an awesome blend of comedy, knowledge bombs and interesting guests and conversations, then look no further than Power Athlete Radio. John and Tex are world class and second to none and my weeks wouldn’t be complete without my dose of power athlete radio. Anyone with even a slightest interest in strength and conditioning, movies and being just a general badass should already be listening and If you aren’t listening already.. SHAME...SHAME...SHAME.
