Anne On E-mouse ,

Just what my advertising slump needed!

I dragged my heels coming over after listening to The Sell More Books Show podcast to here. Another writing podcast? I asked. I don't have time for another podcast! BUT I was wrong. Worn heels wasted, because it has been sooOOOooo worth the listen already and we're only 5 episodes in!

If you've been advertising your book(s) for a while, you probably felt a certain level of confidence that the ads would produce a certain level of return on investment (ROI) as long as you kept an eye on them and made sure they were all working.

Mine were doing fine until the latter half of last year, when something changed. Suddenly my ads, which had been performing well, were not even getting seen. I was pulling my hair out trying to find out how to make them work.

CUE Bryan of the Sell More Books Show and Best Page Forward (great book blurbs) fame.

Bryan's admiral goal (good luck with it Bryan - we're rooting for you!) is to achieve a $10K sales month, and do it through advertising. Amazon Advertising. And so far, his efforts have helped me enormously. In fact, since putting into effect some of the hacks Bryan shares, my ad-spend has increased (not yet back to pre-everyone-jumping-into-Amz-ads yet, but certainly a step up) and my book sales/ranks are on the improve.

Bryan openly shares all the things he's trying, right down to the nitty-grittys. I confess, my ears close down when the details go on too long, but it's worth listening through, because there are little nuggets of wisdom and summing-up that you can take on board and try yourself. This week's episode (5) was a corker! I hadn't thought of doing any of these things (partly through fear of some of them causing me to go bankrupt), but seeing them work for Bryan gave me the confidence to try myself - WORTH IT!

Honestly, if you're doing Amazon ads, you will learn a lot just listening to what Bryan has done in the past and what he's trying out now, and actioning these experiments for yourself.
