    • Business

Congratulations to Sarah Potts for navigating the challenges of the energy sector, BG group and Shell in countries such as Egypt, and South America and finding success in a clean energy organization, Storegga. The energy industry is known for its complexity, regulatory challenges, and rapidly evolving landscape. Sarah's ability to thrive in such an environment suggests a combination of skills, experience, and adaptability.

Clean energy, in particular, is a crucial and rapidly growing sector as the world increasingly focuses on sustainability and environmental concerns. Working in clean energy not only offers professional opportunities but also allows individuals to contribute to a more sustainable future. It's great that Sarah is not only successful in her career but also passionate about the work she's doing.

It's worth noting that success in any industry is not always guaranteed, and individuals like Sarah who can adapt, learn, and make strategic career moves often stand out. Her positive attitude toward the challenges of the energy sector is commendable, and it's clear that she values the opportunity to contribute to the clean energy transition.

Sarah Potts is Managing Director of Hydrogen at Storegga, a developer of low-carbon solutions across the carbon capture and hydrogen value chains.  Storegga is the lead developer of the Acorn Blue Hydrogen project in NE Scotland, Storegga is also partnering with ScottishPower on the Cromarty Green Hydrogen
Project and is developing a pipeline of further green hydrogen production opportunities in the UK. Prior to joining Storegga at the start of 2022, Sarah worked for Shell, as Vice President Innovation Excellence and Technology Portfolio Manager in Shell’s Projects and Technology organization based in
Amsterdam. In these roles she was responsible for driving innovation through the adoption of new ways of working and commercial thinking as well as portfolio management and governance. It was here that Sarah became convinced of
the role of Hydrogen in the Energy Transition as well as the value of systems thinking in the development of the technology and business solutions required to enable it.

Sarah's journey would serve as an inspiration for others looking to build a career in the energy sector, demonstrating that with the right mindset and skills, one can not only survive but thrive in a challenging industry.
