Small Ways to Live Well is a podcast from The Simple Things, a monthly magazine about slowing down, remembering what’s important and making the most of where you live. Hosted by the Editor, Lisa Sykes, in Season 2 she’ll be opening the windows and enjoying the lighter days in ‘The Spring Tonic’ with colleagues and contributors. Each episode will embrace small ways to make the most of the season; a pick-me-up to help us make the mental shift from winter hibernation to an appreciation of spring. It’s a gentle reminder to note and notice what’s going on in your patch. We’ll talk about jobs and jaunts that take you outdoors, projects and pastimes that bring their own satisfaction. And the joys of birdsong, blossom and bluebells.
Released weekly from 1 April this six-week companion will take you from when the clocks go forward in the UK through to the May Day weekend. Season 2: A Spring Tonic is supported by Pause, the mindful activity subscription box from mental health charity, Mind. New Episodes
So glad there are new episodes really enjoyed the Winter edition loved listening to it whilst trying to embrace winter, your ideas and listening the podcast helped ❤️
Product placement in a podcast
I’ve just listened to season 1, on the whole I enjoyed it, I think more because the host sounds like Victoria Wood.
However being sponsored by a company is one thing but steamrolling the product into the main body of the podcast is a little unnecessary and more than a bit annoying
Long time reader and enjoyed this but…
…please have some new music for season two. It sounded like a spooky Halloween tune and cheapened it. The rest was amazing! I’ve subscribed to the magazine since launch and loved the chance to listen to the people behind my favourite magazine chatting. More please.
