Fun easy listening movie reviews of Gen-X classics

As someone who is not particularly enamoured of what critics think of movies, it’s refreshing to hear two real movie fans reflecting at length on old films from a punter’s point of view. A lot of the movies they choose are ones I also remember fondly from my own childhood, so it can be a real trip down memory lane. Chris and Rob have great chemistry between them and the podcast is even better when they have a guest on. The latest episode with Audrey Porne (Empire Records) had me laughing out loud as I was walking down the street. The episodes with Julia Raeside (Peter’s Friends, The Commitments) are some of my favourite podcasts ever. If you’re a film fan, of any age, give Still Any Good? a try.

Been listening since the beginning and due to this podcast I’ve bought and rewatched so many films. Even the films I’ve not seen are great to listen to due to their insights and rapport in the discussion. Feels like joining a couple of friends for a chat.

A really fun listen - like being part of a conversation with friends (albeit ones who know loads of occasionally obscure references). I’m enjoying going through the back catalogue.
