I discovered this guy when I was going through a really tough time in my life (a really lucky find), but only now, after just over a year I feel like I can give a honest review to JK’s podcast..
I have been in a 10 year relationship and we were deep in the middle of planning our wedding when he decided to end it.. To put it lightly, i was absolutely devastated, crushed even.. We owned a house together and it all was a bit messy.. I seriously didn’t know what to do and the pain was like nothing I have ever felt..I was a total mess for about 6 months and then slowly it all started to fall into place..but not without help of many people including JKs podcast and my own hard efforts of course.. nothing changes if you do nothing..you just need to want it enough..
I discovered John Kim about 6 weeks into the breakup and at 1st some of the stuff he said in his podcasts just made me angry..like ‘relationship expire’ or ‘I don’t believe in the one that got away’ or even when he said you need to be totally open and transparent to love etc (i knew better then you see, with the heartache it gives you and all). However, JK intrigued me and I continued following him..I tried to keep an open mind and give some things my 2nd thought.. and guess what, it totally worked..so THANK YOU JK your podcast and your book (look forward to your next one) brought me back from the dead..
John’s realistic, easy to listen and not rehearsed manner is really what made me engage and really give my best shot to try and heal myself.. He felt real..and now I feel like I have grown as a person a lot, my views changed on so many things and guess what(?)..the things that made me angry now make complete sense to me..its so rational and clear as a day.. I feel like JK gave me my sight, my freedom in a way..his ideas pushed me to grow and find out who I am in the present and who I want to become.. I say give it a shot guys, this might be exactly what you need..

Waste of time

A work colleague recommended this episode and I thought I’d give it a listen but it was such a massive waste of time. The bottom line is don’t be a ‘loser’, ‘get a life’ (the second thing is actually said in this episode) and don’t base your whole life around one person, which is something you can find in emo teenage girls’ quotes on Instagram, you don’t need a relationship coach for that. To conclude, nothing new and definitely not exciting. Surprised some people make lots of money off this.
