Carbon fibre is often touted as a wonder material, and many of the best road and mountain bikes are created from sheets of carbon and resin.
But what goes in to a carbon fibre frame? What do all the terms really mean.
They can be seen as fragile too, but can carbon fibre frames be repaired? And, how do you know if your carbon fibre frame is damaged?
We go deep into the tech behind this material with Oscar Huckle, who's previously worked for one of the UK's major carbon fibre frame repair companies to learn more about the material.

Lummox 1329 ,

Far too much road nonsense 🤭

Definitely only here for the Mtb casts, road nonsense just doesn’t give me the fizz unfortunately, find myself deleting more than listening. That said it’s all free to us so grateful for your efforts.

Garmin’s Andy Silver interview

This was a brilliant interview that was both explorative and challenging and really helped me think about the value of spending the money on the extra technology. The questions were interesting and pertinent. Well done Bike Radar.

Good stuff but…

Great topics and genial hosts. Unfortunately, once you hear the verbal tics “kind of” and “you know” every three seconds from the two presenters, it’s hard to unhear them. I had to switch off. Genuine suggestion: put £1 in a ‘swear jar’ every time you say one those fillers, and they will be gone in a month (you were both in the hole for about £20 five minutes into the Feb 28 tech trends episode when I gave up). FWIW, my colleagues made me do this years ago when they got fed up with me subconsciously finishing every sentence with “do you know what I mean”. Cost me a fortune for a few weeks, but they got a lot of beers out of it, and I haven’t done it since).
