This is a monthly series on planting that dives a bit deeper into the heart of why Co-Mission exists: To plant and revitalise churches to reach London for Christ. In this series, Richard Perkins "Perks", the director of church planting, heads out to churches around the city to chat with the pastors and planters to get a sense of the church in that area and hear the stories of God bringing together a group of people to accomplish his purposes. "Come and See, Go and Tell" | Pete Woodcock and Efrem Buckle from Mens Morning 2024

"Come and See, Go and Tell" | Pete Woodcock and Efrem Buckle from Mens Morning 2024

These are the talks from Mens Morning 2024. Over 350 men from around the network gathered for worship, teaching on evangelism and, of course, bacon sandwiches. The talks are short and back to back, starting with Pete Woodcock from Cornerstone Kingston on “Come and See”  and Efram Buckle from London City Mission on “Go and Tell”

    Pete Woodcock
Pete is the Senior Pastor of Cornerstone Church Kingston, London. He is married to Anne, and they have two children, Jerusha & Carl. Along with a few other families from local churches in Kingston, they planted Fairfield Church in 2003, which later became Cornerstone Church Kingston.
Pete has travelled extensively, preaching throughout the UK and in a number of countries overseas. Pete was influential in starting the student ministry in Hobart, Tasmania, in the 1990s, a ministry which saw a large number of people come to know Jesus.
Over the years, Pete has started and been directly involved with a number of evangelistic and gospel outreach ministries, including ‘Good News Bus Ministries’ and the ‘Big Issue’, a youth-leaders training day.
    Efrem Buckle
Efrem, as Deputy CEO and Director of Training and Mentoring at London City Mission, draws on thirty years' experience in urban ministry, including twenty years as church-planting pastor of ecclēsia (South London).
Efrem studied at Oak Hill College, completed the Urban Ministry Program and is the proprietor of Urban Mission School, a government-registered independent school.
He was raised in South London, has two daughters a granddaughter and has been married for 30+ years. He enjoys swimming, technology and creating digital arts.

    ”Friendship by God's Design” | Sara Snow from Co-Mission Women’s Day 2024

    ”Friendship by God's Design” | Sara Snow from Co-Mission Women’s Day 2024

We were blessed to be together with over 600 women from around London to worship together, hear God's word, and be encouraged at our annual Women's Day. We heard from Sara Snow from St. Paul's Harringay on the topic of Friendship by God's Design

London’s a crowded city that is hungry for friendship. Social projects and charities are springing up to help tackle loneliness and enable people to make friends. What about in the church? Don’t we long for our churches to be full of friendships that are deeper, richer and more sincere? Jesus said, “Love your neighbour as yourself”.  What better place to start as we explore how we can be the kind of friends that God calls us to be.
