The Future is Love

A friend forwarded me The Future is Beautiful interview with Polly Higgins, the lawyer who took on the case of the earth and invented Ecocide. I’d never heard anything like it. The questions were not premeditated and instead the conversation opened like a flower. I was surprised to hear Amisha sharing details from her own life as if they were as important as the person she was interviewing. Just because someone is well known, it doesn't make their experience more important than anyone elses and I find Amisha holding space in this way expansive and inspirational.

2 years on and The Future is Beautiful has been a guiding light in my life. It has fed me hope in humanity and has nourished me through feeling alone, cut off and really not knowing what to do with myself, because what can you do to actually make a difference in this world? Through conversations with people who have dedicated their pursuits to answering that question, so much wisdom pours forth. These are interviews worth listening to again, and you will always find more.

However, it is not always the fruit of interviews that has given me inspiration, but Amisha’s courage in her own presence. She means every word she says and her words have a different quality. For anyone who has read Zen & The Art of Motorcycle Maintenance - this is the Quality that cleaves to the heart of existence, the elusive essence that makes the good stuff good and the rest just fall away.

What Amisha has really taught me is that hope is a muscle and with practice, you can be that muscle - coursing with vitality and the breath of life that feeds others. Amisha has shown me how to live within my heart.

An Essential Listen!

This podcast will open your eyes, mind, and heart. And it will probably make you cry and laugh. Sometimes at the same time.
Amisha is a brilliant, intuitive, knowledgable interviewer and her guests are fascinating, diverse and inspiring.
She also has a gorgeous giggle.

Recalibration...

I’ve had a quiet afternoon in hibernation listening to this podcast for the first time. It brings together so much of what’s in my heart and body right now. It pulls together the political and spiritual in an inspiring and articulate way. I look forward to listening to more of the back catalogue. Thank you.
