Truly great history!

This podcast is life changingly good! Mike Duncan brings history to life in the most engaging way. The fact he’s applied his talents to such a formative and epic period of western history is incredible! Thank you Mike!

Can’t praise this enough!

I discovered this podcast in 2013 and have listened to it beginning to end many times over the years, as well as Mike’s other podcast Revolutions which is similarly phenomenal. Well researched and entertaining. An antidote to dry and dusty school history syllabuses.

Worth at least 6 stars - don’t miss any of it

I am so glad I found this podcast, from start to finish it is absolutely excellent. Very well researched including insights into the authors that are cited; it’s deep, wide-ranging, perfectly paced and structured, and a delight to listen to. Not just all that though, Mike Duncan’s writing and delivery is second to none. He has been extremely diligent as well as so very modest of his undoubted skills as a supreme podcast creator and narrator - I can’t express my thanks here enough and recommend this series unreservedly - it’s definitely worth at least 6 stars.
