Kendra Skorstad and I talk about the ethical considerations and implications involved with working on lameness cases and hoof rehab clients. This is a candid, off-the-cuff conversation that asks more questions than gives answers, but gives a sneak peak into the hoofcare provider's daily thought process.

Customer Reviews
Remarkable and thoroughly enjoyable!
Hoofcare professional here - i hope all my clients subscribe to this!! The biggest misconception in the industry seems to be that if the hooves are poor quality you need a new farrier. Actually, too many owners do not realise that THEY are the biggest influence on hoof condition, and whilst many are oblivious to how a hoof functions (because thats the farrier’s business, not the owners)... every owner should listen to this podcast. Alicia is brilliant. She has sought some of the biggest influencers in the industry. Asked them all the questions i would have asked and she doesnt make it all too complicated for owners (or dumb it down for professionals).
Finally learning the fundamentals.
Considering how important hooves are to a happy, sound horse too often little time is dedicated to learning about them in the standard bhs syllabus. Despite working with and owning horses my knowledge of hoof health and function is limited; largely to “seek farriers advice”. This podcast is helping me readdress this balance. I only wish I had done it sooner.
Fabulous
Every horse would want their owner to listen to this podcast! Alicia is a sincere and sympathetic interviewer and someone who really does just want the very best for the horses in her care as well as for everyone else's. I am always excited to see who she has on next and know that she will ask all the questions that I would like to ask myself to the very people that I would like to hear from, people at the forefront of hoof and horse knowledge. Thank you Alicia!!!
