Big Ideas: Do you need advice?
Today we’re rounding off Season 27 by covering the last of our big ideas - and it’s one of the raisons d’etre of Meaningful Money, that most people don’t need advice.

Big Ideas: PIPSIO - The Order Of Financial Priorities
Today we’re covering the ideal order of financial priorities, something Pete and Rog learned early on in their financial planning training. The order was summarised by the acronym PIPSIO
Protection
Income Protection
Pensions
Savings
Investments
Other
PIPSIO is nothing more than a useful mnemonic, but it really does serve a purpose. I still remind the advisers at Jacksons of it now and again.

Life Enriching Podcast
Listened to Pete’s podcast for 8 years and it has helped to transform my financial wellbeing by providing knowledge and tools to answer often difficult questions about personal finances. This podcast and the Meaningful Academy has helped me establish a plan with clear goals, develop a pragmatic perspective about money and provide space for me to develop the next stage in my life/career and goal of financial independence. Thanks Pete..
Essential listening
Been listening to the podcast for just over a year now, and like most, wish I’d found it earlier! Pete and Roger bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from and industry that mystifies many, including myself and although not a complete novice to finances, they have given me the tools and materials to fix the road on my way to what I hope is a better financial future.
I now have wills for both my wife and me through Farewill, life insurance through life search( already had just got better for the same cost) , removed the payments to my so called FA off my pension ,which I stupidly though were part of the pension ( currently£22 /mth! )
Now trying to find the courage to move my pension from my current provider ( 1.13% OCF) to somewhere else ,now I know the impact of charges.
Thank you both, keep up the extraordinary work. Michael H
Great Double Act!
Many thanks for your continuing content, it is greatly valued by me and my son, it makes the difference by instilling a level of confidence that we are doing the right thing things at the right times. Our son still lives with us and has a good job, so the deal is he lives for free with us, whereby he has to save 50% of everything he earns which has allowed him to build a substantial sum towards a deposit and his pension - thanks Pete
