The Rings of Power has been a huge disappointment for me and Im done with it. This on the other hand is much more entertaining. Little bit liberal which grinds my gears slightly but we all have faults. I like the different personalities of the three hosts. The Australian gentleman is hilarious:) Worthy
Quenching my thirst for in-depth knowledge and opinions on The RoP

An Englishwoman, an Australian and an American all walk into a podcast booth—- and discuss all things RoP with extensive knowledge and deep affection for the works of the great J.R.R. Tolkien. I went into the TV series thinking ‘let’s see if it’s really as bad as Reddit said it was’ and much to my dismay I found out I’d been wholly missing out, I have loved the show as much as I loved the books and LoTR movie trilogy— and the hosts of this podcast fill in all the blanks from the works I haven’t consumed. With season 2 over, and after binging season one, the ADHD infested neurons in my brain have been looking to quench their appetite by consuming as much information they can of the show, especially what lore experts think… This is the pod for me, thank you for sharing your knowledge of the lore and for giving frank and honest opinions, you are after all, an opinion podcast. While I don’t agree with everything they dislike about the show, I understand why they feel that way because they explain it well. If we all agreed on everything, there wouldn’t be anything to make a podcast about 🤣

Great analysis. With their expert knowledge of the works of Tolkien they fill in the gaps, clarify and highlight the best and worst elements of the show. As a book purist, I was not a big fan of the show and am still on the fence. But overall I think this podcast gives a generous look at the show and does make me appreciate the good in it- while also allowing me to indulge in some eye rolling and things that niggle me about it as well. Great humour and great fun!

The episode covering S2 Ep8 was somewhat embarrassing- listening to 3 adults having a hissy fit about criticism and making barbed comments like sulky teenagers throughout. Come on people - it’s not a good look. Shame, as the context and analysis of the show’s interpretation of the source material is very good.
