The Trump Trials: Sidebar
The Washington Post’s Libby Casey, Rhonda Colvin and James Hohmann gather for a weekly conversation about former president Donald Trump’s ongoing legal troubles. As trials loom in New York, Florida, Georgia and Washington, D.C., the team will break down the most important – and historic – twists and turns, all as Trump seeks a second term as president. The crew will sit down each Thursday (with the occasional breaking news episode) to discuss what has happened that week, and what’s coming up the next week – often with guest appearances from Washington Post reporters. Listen in to see how you can submit your own questions for the team to answer.

My interest in politics has grown significantly in recent years, to the point that I like to write about current political events. Since then, I have been thinking about listening to a political podcast. This is the first one I chose. This podcast is fantastically informative whilst also being wonderfully entertaining. Allison Michaels is a charming and relaxed host, who brings The Washington Post journalists on as guests to discuss the legal ramifications of some of President Trump’s decisions and actions. The podcast isn’t people ranting and Trump-bashing. It’s a professional and well structured discussion by journalists who are specialists in the field of the episode subject. The length of the episodes is great and it’s just a relaxing podcast to listen to. I cannot recommend this podcast enough and I will be checking out more WaPo podcasts in the future. Great job all!
Where’s Syria

Enjoyed the Michael Cohen episode, but no mention of the pending action against Syria or how domestic issues could affect the state of mind (there is one?) of Trump or his ability to make coherent foreign policy decisions. It looks like a perfect storm of misfits in power and events on the ground.
