This is hour after hour of two really smart, really likeable people, just breaking down all the things that make The Wire so great. I'm British, so I don't get all the basketball references, but this is still my favourite Wire podcast – it's not even close. Great work.

I was excited when I heard the pod was coming out as The Wire is possibly my favourite TV show ever (so far). I was not disappointed. The breakdown of characters and plot is really well done, the back stories and trivia very interesting. I am rewatching the series in conjunction with the episodes and remembering how much I enjoyed it. Great chemistry between Jemele and Van and I rather enjoy the Van Lathan sidebars as well. Heck, I can even forgive Jemele for riding Stringer so hard :) Thanks for a great show from this Englishman.

I like the pod but Van is like that character in Goodfellas who repeats everything twice. Man, he loves the sound of his own voice. Jemele is brilliant: concise, astute and funny but every episode could be half an hour shorter if she spoke more and Van spoke less.
