I would definitely recommend this to you because it is amazing

There are elements of this podcast that should be praised. But I’m really surprised that no one at Sky Sports seems to have done much quality control over this show given how popular I assume it is. The hosts seem like good blokes - you’d be happy to share a pint with them. They obviously have a rapport and seem to be genuine mates. But Pete Graves insistence on shoehorning chat about Newcastle into every show can get so grating. Thankfully they’ve stopped doing the silly ‘what’s your thoughts pet’ section at the end - which more often than not ended up being pointless musing about the Toon Army. But he still insists on chatting about Newcastle vastly more than their profile or interest to casual fans should actually merit. I realise that any controversy over their ownership doesn’t have a place here, but I don’t expect a supposedly neutral podcast to drop in his opinions about the owners not being allowed to spend a billion pounds making his team the new PSG. Or musings over how valuable their players are or what business they may or may not do. A dozen teams don’t even get a mention, but we have to listen to a pointless ‘update’ on their star players not being sold. I’m sure he’s a lovely chap. Can someone please ask him to book a slot on a Geordie specific podcast and get that off his chest so this show can be a bit more balanced.

Some years ago Sky ‘borrowed’ a concept developed by The Transfer Window podcast and turned it in to daily television so it’s appropriate that their rolling news programme citing ‘Sky sources’ that often appear to be reports from other media is now a podcast of its own. Unsurprisingly, the original was better.
