    Astrology Forecast for November 2024

    In episode 466 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock look ahead at the astrological forecast for November 2024. We spend the first hour talking about news and events since our last forecast, and then in the second hour we transition into talking about the forecast for November. This month opens with a tense Mars-Pluto opposition that coincides with an optimistic Venus-Jupiter opposition, and then by later in the month there is a surprising Full Moon in Taurus conjunct Uranus. Saturn slows down and stations direct in the watery sign of Pisces, while Pluto departs from Capricorn and makes it final ingress into futuristic Aquarius where it will stay for the next two decades. By the end of the month Mercury slows down and stations retrograde while squaring a misleading Neptune, and this configuration leads us into the dramatic Mars retrograde station in Leo that happens in early December.     Astrology Forecast for October 2024

    In episode 464 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock do an in-depth exploration of the astrology forecast for October 2024. We spend the first hour of the show talking about news stories since our last forecast, and then at 57 minutes we jump into the forecast for October. The major highlight of the month is the solar eclipse that happens in the signs of Libra on October 2, which is the last in a series of eclipses in that sign that began one year ago. The middle of the month features a lot of tense aspects between Mars and the inner planets, which the benefic planets Venus and Jupiter are attempting to offset with helpful configurations. By late in the month the Mars-Pluto opposition begins to loom large, and we start to get sense for what that tough aspect will look like over the next several months, since Mars will station retrograde and oppose Pluto three times.     Astrology as Divination, with Kirk Little

    2nd and 3rd House Birth Chart Readings

    In episode 462 astrologer Chris Brennan hosts a live birth chart reading session with listeners to talk about second and third house placements in their birth chart. This is a followup to episode 461 of the podcast where we talked about the meaning of the 2nd house in astrology and focused on looking at example charts of celebrities, and in this episode the goal was to interview some listeners and ask them about their placements directly. Originally this was intended to just be an episode talking about the 2nd house, but as we went through the examples the 3rd house kept coming up and we kept being pulled in that direction, so I decided to just go with it and see where it took us. It ended up being really fruitful, and we ended up learning a lot about the 2nd and 3rd houses in the process, and each person shared some really interesting and powerful stories that helped to make the meaning of those houses really come alive.     The Second House in Astrology

    In episode 461 astrologers Chris Brennan and Leisa Schaim do an in-depth exploration of the meaning of the second house in astrology, and explain what it signifies in a birth chart by looking at dozens of celebrity examples. In traditional astrology the second house is associated with the material world, and encompasses topics such as money, possessions, livelihood, and financial stability. It represents the descent into the material realm, because the second house is the sign that follows the rising sign, and in the whole sign house system it is the first sign after the Ascendant that is fully submerged under the earth. We open the episode by talking about the significations of the 2nd house in general, and then move into looking at example charts starting with planets in the 2nd house, followed by looking at the ruler of the Ascendant in the 2nd house, and then finally looking at the rulers of the houses in association with the second house.     Astrology Forecast for September 2024

    In episode 460 astrologers Chris Brennan and Austin Coppock look ahead at the astrological forecast for September 2024. We cover news and events in the first hour, and then at 01:03:00 we start looking at September’s astrology. The astrology of September features the beginning of eclipse season, with a lunar eclipse in Pisces taking place in the middle of the month, followed by a solar eclipse in Libra in early October. Early in the month Mars moves into the sign of Cancer, which is important because it will return to this sign after turning retrograde in early November, and thus September marks the beginning of an extremely long Mars transit that will last until the middle of next year. Also notable this month is Pluto returning to Capricorn for its final transit through this sign, with it eventually departing for Aquarius for good in November.
