    ABOUT DR. DIANA DIAO FRCPC, FAAD
    Dermatologist  | Vancouver, BC

    Dr. Diana Diao is a Dermatologist and a Clinical Instructor in the Department of Dermatology and Skin Science at the University of British Columbia. She is a consultant dermatologist at both Vancouver General Hospital and St. Paul’s Hospital. Dr. Diao practices medical and procedural dermatology, with a special interest in using energy-based modalities such as lasers to treat a variety of skin conditions.

    Dr. Diao completed both her Medical Doctorate degree and dermatology residency training at the University of British Columbia, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Diao is a mother, a published author, and has presented her work at conferences such as the World Congress of Dermatology and the American Academy of Dermatology meetings. Dr. Diao is also fluent in Mandarin.

    ABOUT DR. MARK KIRCHHOF,MD, PHD, FRCPC, FAAD

    Dermatologist  | Ottawa, ON

    Dr. Mark Kirchhof is the Division Head of Dermatology in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Ottawa and The Ottawa Hospital. After receiving his Bachelor of Science in molecular biology from McMaster University, Dr. Kirchhof completed his medical degree and PhD at Western University in London, Ontario. His PhD research involved studies of the signalling pathways important to immune system regulation. He then went on to complete his dermatology residency at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia.

    Until August 2017, Dr. Kirchhof was the Education Director at Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, where he coordinated and led undergraduate, post-graduate and continuing medical education activities. He has published over 40 peer-reviewed papers and maintains a keen interest in clinical and bench-to-bedside research. He has been invited to speak at local, national and international meetings. His clinical interests are varied and he sees both pediatric and adult patients.

    Linda Stein Gold, MD, is Director of Dermatology Clinical Research at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, Michigan, as well as Division Head of Dermatology at Henry Ford Health System in West Bloomfield, Michigan.

    Dr. Stein Gold earned her undergraduate degree at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and her medical degree from the University Of Pennsylvania School Of Medicine in Philadelphia and completed her residency in dermatology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit.

    Dr. Stein Gold is very active in clinical research on a variety of dermatologic conditions, including the treatment of chronic plaque-type psoriasis, actinic keratosis, atopic dermatitis, acne vulgaris, seborrheic dermatitis, and rosacea. She has published articles in journals such as the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology, Cutis, the Journal of Drugs in Dermatology among others. She is a frequent national and international lecturer on acne, rosacea, psoriasis, actinic keratosis, alopecia, viral infections, atopic dermatitis, and fungal infections, at grand rounds and medical society meetings. She is also the treasurer of the National Acne and Rosacea Society and a member of the National Psoriasis Foundation Medical Board.

    Dr Mimi Tran is a dual board-certified Dermatologist in Canada and the USA.     Dr. Sam Hanna is at the forefront of innovation in cosmetic dermatology and is passionate about improving patient skin health with laser treatments, light treatments, and injectable solutions. Dr. Hanna specializes in achieving natural-looking outcomes by way of a holistic approach to cosmetic medicine. A board certified dermatologist and recognized expert in the use of cosmetic injectables including fillers, neuromodulators and sodium deoxycholate, Dr. Hanna is regularly called upon to share his expertise with physician colleagues in lectures and hands-on-training courses.     About Dr.Tasneem F. Mohammad, MD FAAD

    Dermatologist, Detroit, MI

    Tasneem F. Mohammad, MD FAAD is a Staff Physician in the Henry Ford Health System Department of Dermatology in Detroit, MI where she also completed her residency training and a photomedicine and pigmentation research fellowship. Her clinical and research interests include photomedicine, vitiligo, and pigmentary disorders. She has served on various committees for the Global Vitiligo Foundation, Skin of Color Society, and American Academy of Dermatology.

    Dermatologist, Ottawa, ON

    Dr. Jennifer Beecker is a Royal College-certified dermatologist who is fully trained and certified in three separate medical specialties: Dermatology, Emergency Medicine and Family Medicine. In addition, she has earned American board-certification as a dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology. Dr. Beecker is an active Staff Dermatologist at The Ottawa Hospital and Assistant Professor at the University of Ottawa. The range of conditions in which Dr. Beecker holds expertise includes medical dermatology, skin cancer, as well as cosmetic dermatology.



    Dr. Beecker is a national expert in skin cancer detection and prevention. Dr. Beecker founded the Melanoma and Pigmented Lesion Clinic at The Ottawa Hospital academic teaching centre. She is the only dermatologist in Canada using this specialized equipment at a teaching hospital. Dr. Beecker trains medical residents and medical students in this clinic, as well as in general dermatology clinics. She is also Vice-Chair of the Dermatology Examination Committee at the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, which sets and conducts the exam for dermatology residents graduating and attempting to obtain Canadian certification as a dermatologist.



    As Research Director for the Division of Dermatology at The Ottawa Hospital and a Clinical Investigator in the Clinical Epidemiology Program at the Ottawa Hospital Research Institute (OHRI), Dr. Beecker conducts and supervises many research studies, and has multiple publications in the medical literature. She is invited to lecture about dermatology locally, nationally, and internationally, and is frequently interviewed by the media, especially on topics such as sun protection and skin cancer. In 2020, Dr. Beecker was awarded the prestigious “President’s Cup Award” by the Canadian Dermatology Association for the second time having also received this award in 2016. She is now President Elect of the Canadian Dermatology Association.

    Dr. Maxwell Sauder is a board-certified dermatologist with additional fellowship training. He earned his Doctor of Medicine at McMaster University and completed a residency in dermatology at The University of Ottawa. He completed fellowship training in Cutaneous Oncology at Harvard Medical School. He is a former instructor in dermatology at Harvard Medical School.

    Dr. Sauder is currently an assistant professor at the University of Toronto. He is an onco-dermatologist at Princess Margaret Cancer Centre. He also practices at Toronto Dermatology Centre where he is the research director and the director of the Pigmented Lesion Clinic.

    Well published in numerous peer-reviewed journals, Dr. Sauder has also authored several book chapters, been referenced on www.uptodate.com, and has won numerous awards including the Partner’s President Prize at Harvard and the Royal College’s Detweiler Fellowship Award. His publications have covered topics such as eczema, patient education, aesthetic dermatology, sun safety, psoriasis, biologics, adverse drug reactions, hemangiomas, contact dermatitis, cutaneous oncology, and a host of complex medical dermatology conditions.
