    Many times our thoughts are unrealistic and false. We need ti know how to identify these as thinking errors in order to change that thought to a more positive and realistic one.

    For example, the thought "I'm always a failure" is common, but upon analyzing this thought, are you always a failure? It is very difficult to to fail at everything, and we sometimes forget the small successes and wins in our day to day life.

    This cognitive distortion; discounting the positive; can be changed by remembering times that we have been successful or completed a task.

    Talk Lift Heal was founded by Adrienne Capeless, MSW, with the mission of helping teens strengthen mind and body, by helping  overcome anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, and eating disorders.  
    We’ve believed for a long time that mental and physical health are intertwined, and have seen the positive mental benefits of strength training first hand.
    This new service includes weekly Talk & Lift sessions with Coach Adrienne, and includes 5 other days of personalized strength coaching, designed to help lifters feel more confident, capable, and strong.
