RTE DG Kevin Bakhurst on his 5 year plan for the broadcaster.
As we heard earlier, the RTE Director General has announced a new strategy that will see significiant structural changes to the organization. The DG told a meeting of staff this afternoon that the proudction of programmes such as Fair City and the Late Late Show will be moved off site. He joined Cormac in studio.

Strike to go ahead as Aer Lingus and IALPA in separate Labour Court talks
The Labour Court has told Aer Lingus and the Irish Airline Pilots Association (IALPA) that it will not be intervening in their pay dispute now, but will review the matter in July. To discuss this Martin Kenny TD, Sinn Fein spokesperson on Communications and Transport.

The death has ocurred of former RTE journalist Tommie Gorman
Former RTÉ journalist Tommie Gorman has died at the age of 68. He retired from RTÉ in April three years ago after working at RTE for more than 40 years. We're joined now by John Downing of the The Irish Independent, a long time friend and colleague of Tommie's by by former Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.
